Dear Lord, I'd Like To File a Bug Report

Please, stop, because seeing this happen to people breaks my heart. Conspiracy theories represent a known glitch in human reasoning. The theories are of course occasionally true, but their truth is most times uncorrelated with the believer's certainty. For some reason, when people think they discovered a lie, they take the facts and cut context away from facts and arguments and assemble them into reassuring litanies that have all been the same, refuted argument over and over. And over and over, I've argued with people consumed by theories they did believe were irrefutable, theories that in the end proved to be nonsense.

The moon landing people, the climate change doesn't exist people, can you not see yourself falling into the same pattern?

"You honestly believed we landed on the moon? If they were really on the moon, why was there gravity?"

...

Dear Lord.

Yes my child?

I'd like to file a bug report.

(Taken from an xkcd webcomic about conspiracy theorists. Some parts are taken word for word, others are edited.)

resolushuns ftw

2008 was not only a crappy year for worldwide economies, but for me as well x|.
So I'll try to adhere to some resolutions this year, in an attempt to improve my lifestyle in the 09.

1. Increase faith through God via more interactions with church events, and more focused Bible studying.
2. Eliminate my sense of pride, or at least dilipidate part of it.
3. Think before I fib.
4. Concentrate more when I'm practicing violin/piano. (I am distracted verrrry easily)
6. Keep in touch with family/friends more often.
7. Pay attention during class. (<=potential phail)
7. Attempt to master electric violin. (<=potential phail x9000)
8. Strive to spread the word of God.
10. Lern how to shot web
9. Learn how to count.
