This was quite a crude movie hop. I paid for The Proposal, but when it finished at midnight, I had to check out every theater to find Transformers. Turns out it was the second to last one I went into. -.- Wasn't worth it either.
The Proposal
A romantic comedy in which a stoic editor-in-chief marries her assistant due to her incipient deportation at stake. Both of their careers are at stake when deportation would mean that the boss would be forced back to Canada, so she blackmails her assistant to "marry" her with his publishing career in danger as well.
PROS:
- Steady plot; the plot's pace is even and refined at Allegro (LOL)
- The funnys can be pretty funny and the awkwards can be fairly awkward
CONS:
- Barely satisifes the criteria of a satisfying comedy
- Fair acting- not superb
One of the things that Hollywood ticks me off that was evident in this movie, is that they make "true love" seem like such an effortless, speedy process. The assistant guy (Andrew) loathed his boss and his boss disrespected him prior to their staged engagement, but over the course of ONE WEEKEND they were in a deep affinity.
Sorry folks, but let's face it- that doesn't happen in real life.
TRANSFORMERS Revenge of the Fallen
Finally watched it for the 'sploshunz.
You don't need a synopsis, do you?
PROS:
-WICKED robot battles; twirling pewpewpewing special effects smashing punching booming kapowing clashing metal everywhere!! IT WAS CRAAaaaAAzzZZZZY
CONS:
-The storyline was like a spoon of jelly. Without the spoon.
-I hate how Megan Fox was incessantly in a prisitine, clean state even when detonations and guns were going off everywhere and Shia Lebouf was getting ripped apart.
-Funny how Lebouf seems to always outrun ginormous, menacing robots.
-Dead spots. yawwwnnn.
-Acting was...not inspiring.
-Gives you a headache with so many things combusting. Michael Bay has this unrelenting attitude throughout the movie, saying "Think that's all I can blow up? Well think again" but maybe that's because I was watching this at like 12am-2am.
If you liked the 1st Transformers, you'll like this one.
But I hope to God that someone will issue a restraining order for Michael Bay against action movies (or any movie, actually).

"Transformers' sequel could become worst-reviewed $400 million blockbuster ever."
No disputing the "could" now. This movie basically appeals to fans of the franchise and aficionados of fast, thrilling...stuff.
