Dali painted that.
The Persistence of Memory is perhaps one of the most known Surrealist paintings.
It's not supposed to make sense.
Go ahead and decipher it.
"The general interpretation of the work is that the soft watches debunk the assumption that time is rigid or deterministic, and this sense is supported by other images in the work, such as the wide expanding landscape and the ants and fly devouring the other watches."- Wikipedia
Son of Man was painted by Magritte.
"Magritte is best known for his juxtaposition of ordinary objects in unusual context and for giving familiar objects new translations."
I think Magritte is trying to convey that the fruit that first tempted man still tempts us today.

Miro draws strange things.

Son of Man:
Or that all man is today is the mistake Adam and Eve made in the Garden of Eden, and we cannot seem to get past it.
After all, the apple completely covers the face except an edge of the left eye.
Also, the man is very plain, which may be a statement that this man represents all of the human race. A seperate interpretation of this might be that the only trait worth getting into about every person today is the Fruit of Knowledge Adam and Eve ate.
This man also appears frequently in Magritte's other works...
...And why are we talking about this now?
Hell if I know.
(I SEE WHAT I DID THERE)
not rly.
