The LHC is a huge machine (miles big) that took years to built, and cost several billion dollars. It's a giant particle collider that will recreate the big bang for scientists to research how our existance came into place, it has the potential to create small black holes.

It turns on tomorrow. We could screw up Earth, the Solar System, and possibly the entire universe. How fun.
